304 stainless steel has an austenitic structure, containing 18% chromium and 8% nickel, and has excellent corrosion resistance. It is suitable for food, chemical, and outdoor environments.
410 steel belongs to martensitic stainless steel, containing 11.5% -13.5% chromium, with high hardness (HRC 40-45), wear resistance but weak corrosion resistance, and should avoid acidic or high chlorine media.
Selection suggestion: If the project requires corrosion resistance, non-magnetic or weldability (such as pipes, kitchenware), choose 304 stainless steel; If pursuing strength, wear resistance, and limited budget (such as cutting tools, mechanical parts), choose 410 stainless steel. Attention: After welding, heat treatment is required to restore the performance of 410 steel. For long-term humid environments, it is recommended to use 304 steel with surface treatment.
