304 is austenitic chromium nickel stainless steel (18% Cr+8% Ni), non-magnetic, with strong corrosion resistance, suitable for harsh environments such as food and chemical industry; 430 is a ferritic pure chromium stainless steel (16% Cr), which contains magnetism and has weak corrosion resistance but low cost. It is commonly used in dry environments such as decoration and home appliances.
304 stainless steel improves oxidation resistance and welding performance through high nickel content, and can withstand acidic media; 430 stainless steel is prone to rusting in humid or chlorine containing environments, but has high hardness and good processability, making it suitable for low-cost, low corrosion static components.
