US steel exports decreased by 13.3% month on month in April

According to the data of the United States Department of Commerce, the US steel export volume in April was 696932 tons, down 13.3% month on month and 7.4% year on year; The export value was 1.24 billion US dollars, 1.43 billion US dollars in March, and 1.39 million US dollars in April 2022.

In April, the United States exported 341207 tons of steel to Canada, a decrease of 12.4% month on month and 2.6% year-on-year; Exports to Mexico reached 304305 tons, a decrease of 16.1% month on month and 7.9% year-on-year. Other major destinations include the Dominican Republic (5884 tons), Pakistan (2736 tons), the United Arab Emirates (2574 tons), China (2561 tons), and Singapore (2419 tons). The main steel products exported in April are hot-dip galvanized (109191 tons), fixed size medium thick plates (86509 tons), hot-rolled sheets (55237 tons), cold-rolled sheets (56327 tons), and steel beams (41482 tons).
