The Indian government is considering revising the steel export tariff policy

According to foreign media, recently, the Indian Minister of Iron and Steel announced that the government was considering revising the steel export tariff policy. It is reported that after the Indian government announced in May that it would impose a 15% tariff on steel export products, India's steel export volume has dropped significantly. The Iron and Steel Association of the country and major steel mills have repeatedly asked the government to revise the tariff policy.

A senior executive of an Indian steel enterprise said that the Indian government might revise this tariff policy in stages. First, it might consider reducing the export tariff of flat materials and keeping the export tariff of construction steel unchanged.
