09MnNiDR steel plate is a low-temperature steel with body-centered cubic crystal. The main performance requirement for low-temperature steel is to ensure that it has sufficient toughness and the ability to resist brittle failure at the service temperature. In order to ensure low-temperature toughness, carbon content in low-temperature steel shall be reduced as much as possible, S and P content shall be strictly limited, and some alloying elements shall be added. Mn and Ni are two main elements to improve the toughness of steel. Mn can refine the structure of the steel and reduce the cementite at the grain boundary after slow cooling, thus improving the toughness of the steel; Ni makes the matrix itself easy to cross slip at low temperature to improve toughness. 09MnNiDR executive standard: GB3531-2014.
