The output of duplex stainless steel in China has increased from 828 tons in 2005 to 240,600 tons in 2021. With the growth of duplex stainless steel production, its proportion in China's stainless steel has also increased steadily, from less than 0.1% in 2005-2007 to 0.73% in 2021.

In recent years, the global duplex stainless steel, especially China's duplex stainless steel has entered a new historical period of rapid development, and has made great progress in production technology, scientific research, variety development, and market application. Especially since the beginning of this year, the prices of precious metals such as nickel and molybdenum have risen sharply, economic duplex stainless steel has entered the fast lane of development, and the research and development progress of super duplex stainless steel has also accelerated.

In terms of application fields, while duplex stainless steel is increasing in mature application fields such as petrochemical, oil and gas transportation, chemical tankers, nuclear power, and marine engineering, new application fields such as hydrometallurgy, food brewing, construction and vehicles have been developed.
