1. Bending property
Q345B steel plate can bear bending without cracking at room temperature. The greater the bending degree the material can bear before the crack appears, the better the bending property of the material. Bending degree is generally expressed by the ratio of bending angle or bending core diameter D to material thickness a. the greater the bending angle or the smaller the bending core diameter D to material thickness a, the better the bending performance of the material.
2. Stamping performance
Through the cupping test, the ability of Q345B steel plate strip not to produce cracks and other defects after impact deformation was checked. Stamping performance is generally expressed by cupping depth of cupping test. If the cupping depth is not less than the specified value, it is considered qualified. The greater the cupping depth the material can bear, the better the stamping performance.
3. Welding performance
Q345B steel plate has the ability to adapt to common welding methods and welding processes. Q345B steel plate with good weldability is easy to be welded with common welding methods and welding processes, while Q345B steel plate with poor weldability must be welded with specific welding methods and welding processes- Generally, the welding performance of Q345B steel plate is judged according to the sensitivity of cracks and the change of mechanical properties of weld zone.
