What is the 35# steel heat treatment?

The 35# steel is a kind of high-quality carbon structural steel.It has good plasticity and appropriate strength, good process performance, and acceptable welding performance. 35# carbon structural steel is mostly used in normalized and quenched and tempered states.

35# steel heat treatment specification　　

Heat treatment: normalizing, 870℃; quenching, 850℃; tempering, 600℃. 　　

Quenching and tempering treatment, 35# steel quenching heating temperature is 860°, the holding time depends on the effective thickness of the part and the equipment used for heating, 500℃ tempering, the tempering time is 1.5 times the quenching holding time.

Delivery status: delivery without heat treatment or heat treatment (annealing, normalizing or high temperature tempering). If the delivery is required to be delivered under heat treatment, it should be specified in the contract, and if it is not specified, the delivery shall be delivered without heat treatment.
