Carburizing carbon steel is a structural part made of low carbon structural steel (generally containing carbon content ≤ 0.2%). After surface carburizing or cyanidation treatment, quenching and low temperature tempering, the surface can be hard (generally HRC ≥ 60) and the core is tough, which can bear both wear-resistant and alternating load or impact load.
The carbon content of the quenched and tempered (Q+T) steel is generally more than 0.20%, and the structure parts can obtain proper high strength and good toughness after quenching and tempering, that is to say, it has good comprehensive mechanical properties.
Nitriding steel is a structural part made of medium carbon alloy structural steel. Firstly, it is tempered or surface quenched to obtain the required mechanical properties. Then, it is processed by cutting and finishing, and then nitriding treatment, so as to improve the surface wear resistance. Al and N are usually synthesized to increase surface hardness and wear resistance. For example, 38CrMoAI and 38CrAl are nitriding steel.
