38CrSi grade is a kind of alloy structural steel, which is used to manufacture mechanical parts with large section size. 38CrSi steel has proper hardenability, higher strength, toughness and fatigue strength, lower brittle transition temperature after corresponding heat treatment. 38CrSi alloy structural steel executive standard: GB / T3077. 38CrSi alloy steel is usually delivered by normalizing, annealing, high temperature tempering or no heat treatment.
Chemical composition of 38CrSi alloy structural steel:
C: 0.35-0.43, Si: 1.00-1.30, Mn: 0.30 - 0.60, S: allowable residual content ≤ 0.035, Phosphorus P: allowable residual content ≤ 0.035, Chromium Cr: 1.30 - 1.60, Ni: allowable residual content ≤ 0.030, Cu: allowable residual content ≤ 0.030.

It is often used to make main shaft, intake valve of tractor, oil pump gear of internal combustion engine and other parts requiring high strength and wear resistance. 38CrSi steel can also be used to make cold working impact tools, such as rivet machine indenter.
