What are the composition and properties of S355J2 structural steel plate

S355J2 is a kind of carbon structural steel plate produced by European standard, which is similar to Q345D steel plate in performance, composition and application. However, some details of these two kinds of steel plates are different, which can not be completely replaced.

The executive standard of S355J2 structural steel plate is EN10025-2.
The chemical constituents of S355J2: Carbon C: ≤ 0.22, Silicon Si: ≤ 0.55, Manganese Mn: ≤ 1.60, Phosphorus P: ≤ 0.025, Sulfur S: ≤ 0.025, Copper Cu: ≤ 0.55.

S355J2 plate yield strength:
Thickness≤16:≥355, 16 - 40:≥345, 40 - 63:≥335, 63 - 80:≥325, 80 - 100:≥315, 100 - 150:≥295, 150 - 200:≥285 , 200 - 250:≥275, 250 - 400:≥265.
Tensile strength of S355J2 steel plate: 450-680.

Delivery status of S355J2: S355J2 structural steel plate is mostly delivered in hot rolling, controlled rolling, normalizing and other delivery status. PS: if the customer has other performance requirements, the delivery status shall be indicated in the contract.
