How to distinguish between C-shaped steel and Z-shaped steel?

C-shaped steel and Z-shaped steel are different in terms of shape. C-shaped steel is processed by hot-coiled plate and cold-bent, with thin wall and light weight. The C-shaped steel forming machine can automatically complete it according to the given C-shaped steel size. Z-shaped steel is a common cold-formed thin-walled steel.

Compared with the Z-shaped steel, the mechanical properties of the strong and weak shafts are quite different between the C-shaped steel and the Z-shaped steel, and the connection with the rigid frame is mostly bolted hinged. The calculation must be considered as simple support. From the point of view of stress state, calculation results and structure, it is better to use Z-shaped steel. Therefore, in addition to door and window openings and other special node processing needs, Z-shaped steel should be preferred.
