Steel spherical tank

The shape of the steel spherical tank is spherical and ellipsoidal. The common used type is single-layer spherical shells. When storing liquefied gas at low temperature and low pressure, a double spherical shell is used, and the insulation material is filled between the two spherical shells. The single-layer spherical spherical tank is widely used. Room temperature spherical tanks such as liquefied petroleum gas, nitrogen, coal gas, oxygen and other spherical tanks. Generally speaking, the pressure of this type of spherical tank is relatively high, depending on the saturated vapor pressure of the liquefied gas or the outlet pressure of the compressor. The design temperature of the normal temperature bulb is greater than -20C.

The materials used to make steel spherical tanks require high strength, and good plasticity, especially punching toughness, excellent weldability and processing technology. The welding, heat treatment and quality inspection technology of the steel spherical tanks are the key to ensuring quality.

Advantages of steel spherical tank
1. Compared with the vertical cylindrical storage tank, the spherical storage tank has the smallest surface area and the smallest equipment net weight under the same volume and the same pressure.
2. The spherical storage tank occupies a small area and the amount of basic works is small, which can save land area.
3. The spherical characteristic has the best resistance to internal and external pressure.
