LNG storage tank is the main equipment of LNG gasification station, which directly affects the normal production of gasification station and also accounts for a large proportion of the cost. According to the structure, it can be divided into underground storage tanks, ground metal storage tanks and metal prestressed concrete storage tanks. For LNG storage tanks, there are existing vacuum powder insulation storage tanks, positive pressure accumulation insulation storage tanks and high vacuum layer insulation storage tanks. Medium and small gasification stations generally use vacuum powder insulation low temperature storage tanks. The storage tank is divided into inner and outer layers. The interlayer is filled with pearl sand and evacuated to reduce the input of external heat and ensure that the daily vaporization rate of LNG in the tank is less than 0.3%.

The operating pressure of the LNG cryogenic storage tank is 0.6-1.44MPa, and the operating temperature is -162°C. The tank is composed of inner and outer layers. In order to reduce the transfer of external heat into the tank, a vacuum-filled pearl sand cold insulation material insulation structure is used between the two layers. It is isolated from the atmosphere, avoiding the influence of atmospheric pressure or temperature changes and the entry of moist air into the cold insulation layer between the inner and outer tanks, effectively ensuring and improving the use of cold insulation materials.
