Introduction of carbon and low alloy steel plate:
Carbon and low alloy steel plate covers carbon steel plate and low alloy high strength steel plate.
The carbon steel, also called mild steel, has a wide range of restrictions on carbon content, performance range, phosphorus, sulfur and other residual elements. According to some special performance requirements, the composition of carbon steel can be slightly adjusted to form a series of professional steel, such as riveting steel, bridge steel, pressure vessel steel, hull steel, boiler steel. In addition to strictly controlling the chemical composition and ensuring the normal performance, some special inspection items are also specified for professional steel, such as low temperature impact toughness, aging sensitivity, gas in steel, inclusion and fracture, etc.
Low alloy high strength steel is a kind of engineering structural steel developed by adding a small amount of Mn, Si, Nb, V, Ti, Al etc. alloy elements on the basis of carbon structural steel. The yield strength of rolled or normalized low alloy high strength steel plate exceeds 275 MPA. The so-called low alloy means that the total amount of alloy elements in steel is less than 3%. High strength is relative to carbon engineering structural steel. The development principle of low alloy high strength steel is to use as few alloy elements as possible to obtain as high comprehensive mechanical properties as possible, so as to meet the purpose of usability and low cost. Low alloy high strength steel can meet the requirements of various structures (such as large bridges, pressure vessels, ships, etc.) in engineering, which have large load-bearing capacity, at the same time, it is required to reduce the self weight of the structure, improve the reliability and save materials and resources.

Application of carbon and low alloy steel plate:
Carbon steel plate has a wide range of applications, most of which are used as welded, riveted or bolted steel structures, and a few are used to make various machine parts.
Low alloy high strength steel plate is mainly used to manufacture various engineering structures with high strength requirements, such as bridges, ships, vehicles, high-pressure vessels, oil and gas pipelines, large steel structures, etc. Because low alloy high strength steel plate does not need complex treatment process, or even heat treatment, it can obtain high strength and greatly reduce the quality of engineering structure. Therefore, low alloy high strength steel plate is often used to replace the general carbon structural steel.
