The preparation of galvanized steel before welding is the same as that of ordinary low-carbon steel. It is necessary to carefully handle the groove size and nearby galvanized layer. In order to achieve penetration, the groove size shall be appropriate, generally 60 ~ 65 °, with a certain gap, generally 1.5 ~ 2.5mm; in order to reduce the penetration of zinc into the weld, the galvanized layer in the groove can be removed before welding. S235J2 steel, as a non-alloy structural steel grade, is mainly used in structural projects and tanks. J2 symbol -20 temperature impact test. The client required CEV 0.38%, S≤0.01%, 100% UT, Charpy V-notch impact test at-20℃, Z25 for S235J2+N plates. After they receiving the S235J2+N steel plates, the customer are very satisfied with the quality of this batch of products.
