Global crude steel production in January 2020 increased by 2.1% year on year

In January 2020, the crude steel production of 64 countries included in the World Steel Association's statistics was 154.4 million tons, up 2.1% year on year.

In January 2020, China's crude steel production was 84.3 million tons, up 7.2% year on year. Crude steel production in India in January was 9.3 million tons, down 3.2% year on year. Japan's crude steel production in January was 8.2 million tons, down 1.3% year on year. South Korea's crude steel production in January was 5.8 million tons, down 8.0% year on year.

In European Union countries, in January 2020, crude steel production in Italy was 1.9 million tons, down 4.9% year on year; in January, crude steel production in France was 1.3 million tons, up 4.5% year on year.

The crude steel production of the United States in January 2020 was 7.7 million tons, up 2.5% year on year.

Brazil's crude steel production in January 2020 was 2.7 million tons, down 11.1% year on year.
Turkey's crude steel production in January 2020 was 3 million tons, up 17.3% year on year.

Ukraine's crude steel production in January 2020 was 1.8 million tons, down 0.4% year on year.
