Chemical composition and properties of AH690 high strength ship plate

AH690 steel plate is a high-strength ship plate and offshore platform steel. The size, shape, weight and allowable deviation of the steel plate should comply with the regulations of GAH690/T709, and the thickness deviation is -0.3mm.

AH690 steel plate is usually delivered in quenched and tempered, normalized, thermomechanical rolled + tempered state.

Chemical composition of AH690 high strength ship plate (melting analysis):
C≤0.21, Si≤0.55, Mn≤1.7, P≤0.03, S≤0.03, N≤0.02
The added alloying elements and grain refinement elements Al, Nb, V, Ti shall comply with the relevant standards approved by the classification society or recognized.
The crack susceptibility coefficient Pcm should be calculated by the formula instead of carbon equivalent, and its value should meet the standards approved by the classification society.

Nondestructive testing of AH690 high strength ship plate:
The Z-direction steel plate shall be subjected to ultrasonic flaw detection, and the flaw detection level shall be indicated in the contract.
