27SiMn alloy steel plate mechanical properties and heat treatment process

1. Introduction to 27SiMn alloy steel plate
27SiMn steel plate belongs to alloy structural steel. The performance of 27SiMn steel is better than that of 30Mn2 steel, the hardenability is high, the critical hardenable diameter in water is 8-22mm, the machinability is good, the cold deformation plasticity and weldability are moderate; in addition, the toughness of 27SiMn alloy steel is not much reduced during heat treatment. However, it has quite high strength and wear resistance, especially when it is water quenched, it still has high toughness; but 27SiMn steel has high sensitivity to white point, and has a tendency to temper brittleness and overheating sensitivity during heat treatment.

27SiMn alloy steel plate application:
27SiMn steel is mainly used in the quenched and tempered state for the manufacture of hot stamping parts requiring high toughness and wear resistance; it can also be used in normalized or hot rolled supply conditions, such as tractor track pins.

The chemical composition of 27SiMn alloy steel plate:
C: 0.24-0.32, Si: 1.10-1.40, Mn: 1.10-1.40, P: ≤0.035, S:≤0.035, Cu: ≤0.30, Cr:≤0.30, Ni: ≤0.30, Mo: ≤0.15
