Automobile steel plates are classified into hot-rolled steel plates, cold-rolled steel plates and coated steel sheets from the production process characteristics; from the perspective of strength, they can be divided into: ordinary steel plates (soft steel plates), low-alloy high-strength steel plates (HSLA), and ordinary high-strength steel plates (high Strength IF steel, BH steel, phosphorus-containing steel and IS steel, etc.) and advanced high-strength steel plates (AHSS). Among the automobile steel plates divided by strength, the first two types of steel have matured at home and abroad; the third type of steel has been commercialized in batches internationally, and it is also in the process of development, trial (IS steel) and promotion in China. Stage; the fourth type of steel is in the stage of international research and development mature and popularization and application, and domestic is in the initial stage of development. As high-strength steel sheet is one of the themes for the development of automotive steel sheet materials, the third and fourth types of steel are mainly introduced in high-strength steel sheets, and coated steel sheets are briefly introduced.
High-strength IF steel plate: while ensuring good plasticity and stamping performance, the steel has high strength and meets the performance requirements of stamping parts of complex shapes.
Baking hardened steel plate (BH steel): The steel plate has a lower yield strength before stamping, and the yield strength of the steel plate is increased by the paint baking process after stamping.
Phosphorus-containing steel plate: It is strengthened by the solid solution strengthening effect of phosphorus in steel, which can be used to punch some automotive stamping parts with complicated shapes.
Ultra-low-carbon phosphorus-containing steel plate: This steel has good deep drawing, plasticity and toughness.
Isotropic steel plate (IS steel): It is mainly used for automobile exterior panels.
Advanced High Strength Steel Plate (AHSS)
Dual-phase (DP) steel: Generally used for automotive parts that require high strength, high impact absorption energy, and stricter forming requirements, such as wheels, bumpers, suspension systems and their reinforcements. With the advancement of steel properties and forming technology, DP steel is also used in automotive interior and exterior panels and other parts.
