What is the steel Q345D?

Q345D steel plate is a low-alloy high-strength steel plate with good low temperature impact performance.

Components of Q345D steel grades, including:

Q is the first letter yield strength in Chinese spelling “Qufu”;

345 represents the yield strength value, unit MPa;

D means the steel quality grade (passed -20℃ impact test);

When the Q345D steel plate is required to have the thickness direction performance, the symbol representing the thickness direction (Z direction) performance level is added to the steel grade, for example: Q345D steel plate Q345DZ15.

When heat treatment is required, such as normalizing, the grade of steel is suffixed with N, which is usually indicated by +N, for example: Q345D steel plate Q345D+N.
