The steel plate used for high-rise buildings is referred to as steel for high-rise buildings. It has the properties of easy welding, earthquake resistance, and low temperature impact resistance. It is mainly used in large construction projects such as high-rise buildings, super high-rise buildings, large-span stadiums, airports, exhibition centers, and steel structure workshops. Compared with ordinary carbon or low-alloy steel plates, Steel plates for high-rise buildings have an upper limit set for their yield strength, their tensile strength has been improved, and there are requirements for carbon equivalent and yield ratio indicators.
Steel grades for high-rise buildings are divided into five strength levels of yield point 235MPA, 345MPA, 390MPA, 420MPA and 460MPA. Each strength level is divided into Z-direction and non-Z-direction steel. Z-direction steel has three grades: Z15, Z25, and Z35. The grades are divided into quality grades according to different impact test requirements, and each grade has good welding performance. According to the steel plate standards for building structures recommended by the Ministry of Metallurgy and the national standards, the main varieties of high-rise building panels in China are: Q235GJB/C/D and Q345GJB/C/D. The national standard implemented is GB/T19879-2005 "Building Structures" Use steel plate.
Steel plates for high-rise buildings are usually produced by medium and heavy plate rolling mills, but it is not ruled out that they are produced by steckel rolling mills and hot strip mills. Steel for high-rise buildings is mainly part of extra-thick, thick, medium-thick, and medium-thick plates. Generally speaking, the thickness of structural steel plate for high-rise buildings is 10~100MM, the width is 1600~3500MM, and the length is 6000~18000MM.
