What is the difference between Q195 steel and Q235 steel?
Q195 steel and Q235 steel belong to carbon structural steel, also known as ordinary carbon structural steel. This kind of steel does not contain alloy elements specially added. They are mostly in the form of steel bars, profiles and steel plates, which are used for buildings and engineering structures such as workshops, bridges, ships, etc. This kind of steel is usually used directly without heat treatment.
The material of Q195 steel is different from that of Q235 Steel:
Chemical composition of Q195 steel: C ≤ 0.12, Si ≤ 0.30, Mn ≤ 0.50, P ≤ 0.035, s ≤ 0.040.
Chemical composition of Q235 Steel: C ≤ 0.22, Si ≤ 0.35, Mn ≤ 1.40, P ≤ 0.045, s ≤ 0.050.
The prices of Q195 steel and Q235 steel are different:
The price of Q195 steel is lower than that of Q235 steel.
The mechanical properties of Q195 steel and Q235 steel are different
The tensile strength of Q195 steel is 390 MPa and the elongation is 30%.
The tensile strength and elongation of Q235 steel are 490 MPa and 23% respectively.
The yield strength of Q195 steel is 195 MPa, which is lower than 235 MPa of Q235 steel.
