What is the composition and properties of S355J2 structural steel plate

S355J2 steel plate is a kind of carbon structural steel plate produced by European standard, which is similar to Q345D steel plate in performance, composition and application. However, some details of these two kinds of steel plates are different.

Chemical composition of S355J2 structural steel plate (%):
Carbon C: ≤ 0.22, Silicon Si: ≤ 0.55, Mn: ≤ 1.60 P: ≤ 0.025, Sulfur S: ≤ 0.025, Copper Cu: ≤ 0.55.

The mechanical properties of S355J2 structural steel plate are as follows:
Yield strength (Mpa):
Thickness≤16:≥355, 16-40:≥345, 40-63:≥335, 63-80:≥325, 80-100:≥315, 100-150:≥295, 150-200:≥285, 200-250:≥275, 250-400≥265.
Tensile strength: 450-680

Delivery status of S355J2 structural steel plate: it is mostly delivered in hot rolling, controlled rolling, normalizing and other delivery status. PS: if the customer has other performance requirements, the delivery status shall be indicated in the contract.
