A213 T91 steel pipe is a kind of ferritic heat-resistant steel, which was researched and developed by the American National Laboratory in the 1970s and was listed in ASME in 1983. In the GB 5310 standard, the equivalent grade is 10Cr9Mo1VNb.
A213 T91 steel is a new generation of medium-alloy heat-resistant steel developed on the basis of 9Cr1Mo (T9) steel, using metallurgical technology for purification and crystallization, as well as microalloying, controlled rolling, and controlled cooling. A213 T91 steel pipe has good comprehensive mechanical properties, stable structure after high temperature aging, and good welding performance and process performance, suitable for high temperature compression parts.
A213 T91 steel grade pipe application
After testing, A213 T91 steel pipe can be used for superheater and reheater pipes with wall temperature below 600℃, and header and steam pipes with wall temperature below 600℃. After the successful development of A213 T91 steel pipe, it has filled the gap between T/P22 and TP304H, and has been widely used in supercritical boilers below 600℃ to replace TP321H.
Although the upper limit of the service temperature of A213 T91 steel pipe is only 600℃, its successful research and development has laid the foundation for the research and development of better performance ultra-supercritical boiler steel, which is a series of later steel grades, such as T/P92, E911, T/P122 The research and development of etc. provides the basic idea. It can be said that the successful development of T/P91 has enabled the technology of thermal power units to mature from supercritical to supercritical.
