S500Q steel plate is a high-strength structural steel of European standard. It is usually called high-strength plate in China. S500Q structural steel plate composition and performance are equivalent to Chinese Q500D high-strength plate. Because of its excellent practical performance, S500Q structural steel plate is widely used in the manufacture of construction machinery and mining machinery.
Executive standard of S500Q structural steel plate: EN 10025/6.
The three levels of S500Q structural steel plate chemical composition are as follows (element composition: %):
1) S500Q: P: ≤0.025, S: ≤0.015
2) S500QL: P: ≤0.020, S: ≤0.010
3) S500QL1: P: ≤0.020, S: ≤0.010
Except for sulfur and phosphorus, there is no difference in the content of other ingredients as follows:
Carbon C: ≤0.20 Silicon, Si: ≤0.80, Manganese Mn: ≤1.70
Nitrogen N: ≤0.015, Boron B: ≤0.0050, Chromium Cr: ≤1.50, Copper Cu: 0.50
Molybdenum Mo: 0.70, Niobium Nb: 0.06, Nickel Ni: ≤2.0
Titanium Ti: ≤0.05, Vanadium V: ≤0.12, Zirconium Zr: ≤0.15
S500Q structural steel plate must be delivered in quenched and tempered state due to higher yield strength requirements. The specific delivery status of S500Q structural steel plate should be indicated in the MTC (mill test crtificate).
