What is boiler steel

Boiler steel is used to manufacture superheater, main steam pipe and heating surface of furnace. The performance index standard of heating furnace steel should be excellent welding performance index, corresponding high temperature strength, alkali corrosion resistance, air oxidation resistance, etc. Common reheating furnace steels include low carbon killed steel produced by open hearth furnace or low carbon steel produced by electric furnace. The carbon content is between 0.16% and 0.26%.

The boiler steel used for boiler pipe includes heating surface pipe of heating furnace which is in direct contact with flame or flue gas, header pipe and steam water pipe which are not in direct contact with flame or flue gas, and drum with steel plate.

Boiler steel has high high temperature strength, long-term formability, oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance, stable structure and excellent process performance.
