What is alloy steel?

When other elements including metals and non-metals are added to carbon steel, alloy steel is formed.

The alloy steel grades are: 12Cr1MoV, 15CrMo, 16Mo3, etc. Alloy steel contains many elements, such as bismuth, cobalt, molybdenum, titanium, selenium, tellurium, lead, boron, sulfur, nitrogen, zirconium and niobium. These alloying elements can be used alone or in various combinations according to desired properties. Types of alloy steel

Alloy steel can be divided into two types: low alloy steel and high alloy steel. The alloying element content of low-alloy steel is as high as 8%, while the alloying element content of high-alloy steel exceeds 8%.
