50Mn2 alloy structural steel is a kind of high strength medium carbon quenched and tempered manganese steel. It has high strength, elasticity, wear resistance and high hardenability. The critical hardenability of 50Mn2 alloy structural steel is 10-28mm in oil and 24-49mm in water, and its machinability is also OK.

Carbon C:0.47 - 0.55, Silicon Si:0.17 - 0.37, Manganese Mn:1.40 - 1.80, Phosphorus P:≤0.025 (residual content), Sulfur S:≤0.025 (residual content), Chromium Cr:≤0.30 (residual content), Nickel Ni:≤0.30 (residual content), Copper Cu:≤0.25 (residual content).

50Mn2 alloy structural steel is usually used after quenching and tempering to manufacture parts under high stress and wear conditions; it can also be used after normalizing and high temperature tempering to manufacture parts with medium load and large section size.
