What good propertie does Q345R pressure vessel steel have

Q345R steel is a special metal material for pressure vessel with yield strength of 345MPa. It has good comprehensive mechanical properties and technological properties. Q345R pressure vessel steel is in accordance with GB 713. The phosphorus and sulfur content of Q345R pressure vessel steel is slightly lower than that of Q345B (16Mn) low alloy high strength steel plate. In addition to the requirements of tensile strength and elongation which are higher than those of Q345B (16Mn) steel, it is also required to ensure the impact toughness.

Q345R pressure vessel steel has enough strength and toughness, good weldability, cold and hot workability. It is the most widely used and the largest amount of special steel plate for pressure vessels in China. It is used to manufacture petrochemical, gas separation and gas storage and transportation equipment.
