Processing characteristics of thick steel plate:
(1) Thick steel plates have low thermal conductivity, poor plastic deformation, large shrinkage, and weak forging characteristics. Pay attention to the metal mold casting problems of castings when forging.
(2) The modeling design should use sand molds with good light transmittance, and the architectural coatings should use magnesium or alumina powder with high fire resistance.
(3) The thick steel plate riser is not easy to remove, and the side riser or the easy-cut riser shall be selected in the shape design of the riser.
(4) During the forging of actual parts, care should be taken not to allow the casting to encounter resistance.
(5) The pouring temperature should be low.
