What are the differences in application of 45# 40Cr 35Cr steel

45# steel is suitable for manufacturing high strength moving parts, such as air compressor, piston of pump, impeller of steam turbine, rolling shaft, connecting rod, worm, rack, gear and pin in heavy and general machinery.

40Cr steel is one of the widely used steel grades. After quenching and tempering, 40Cr steel is used to manufacture medium speed and medium load parts, such as machine tool gear, shaft worm, spline shaft, top sleeve, etc. After quenching and tempering and high frequency induction quenching, 40Cr steel is used to manufacture parts with high surface hardness and wear resistance, such as gear, shaft, spindle, crankshaft, mandrel, sleeve, pin, connecting rod, screw, nut, intake valve, etc.

35Cr steel is used to manufacture gears, shafts, rollers, bolts and other important quenched and tempered parts. Its use is basically the same as that of 30Cr.
