NM500 wear resistant steel plate has high wear resistance and good impact performance. It can be cut, bent and welded. It can be connected with other structures by welding, plug welding and bolt connection. In the process of on-site maintenance, it is time-saving and convenient. It is widely used in metallurgy, coal, cement, power, glass, mining, building materials, brick and tile industries.
1. Cutting: plasma cutting, carbon arc and grinding wheel saw can be used to cut large area NM500 wear resistant steel plate into required shape. The best method is to use air or inert gas plasma arc cutting, the recommended method is to start from the surface of the alloy. Carbon arc cutting should start from one side of the substrate. If a saw blade is used, only linear cutting can be performed and a silicon carbide saw blade is required.
2. Bending: NM500 wear resistant steel plate can be cold formed and bent into the required shape or arc or circle as required. In concave forming, the crack of alloy will be closed due to internal stress; after punch forming, the crack will become larger crack, which is a normal scene. If the crack is too large, repair it with corresponding welding rod. Crimping shall be carried out according to the recommended minimum bending radius.
3. Opening: the large hole of NM500 wear resistant steel plate can be cut by plasma. EDM is recommended for small holes. The countersink of assembly bolt can be cut by plasma or carbon arc.
4. Welding: the base metal of large area NM500 wear resistant steel plate is steel plate with good weldability. When two wear-resistant plates need to be spliced, the back base metal can be welded together first, and then the corresponding surfacing electrode can be filled in the front surfacing layer. Wear resistant steel plates can also be welded to other steel structures.
5. Plug welding: plasma or carbon arc gouging can be used to drill holes on NM500 wear resistant steel plate and connect with other steel structures by plug welding.
6. Bolt fixation: bolts can be welded to the base metal of steel plate by flash welding or fusion welding, and then connected to other workpieces, or wear-resistant steel plate can be perforated and connected to other workpieces by bolts.
