Cold-rolled coils are made of hot-rolled steel coils, which are pickled to remove oxide scale and then cold rolled. The finished product is hard-rolled coils. Because the cold work hardening caused by continuous cold deformation increases the strength and hardness of the rolled hard coil, and the ductility index decreases, the stamping performance will deteriorate, and it can only be used for simple deformation parts. Hard-rolled coils can be used as raw materials for hot-dip galvanizing plants because all hot-dip galvanizing units are equipped with annealing lines. The weight of the rolled hard coil is generally 6 to 13.5 tons, and the steel coil is continuously rolled on the hot-rolled pickled coil at room temperature. The inner diameter is 610mm.
The main advantages of cold-rolled coils
1. The precision is higher, and the thickness difference of cold-rolled steel strip does not exceed 0.01~0.03mm.
2. The size is thinner, the thinnest cold rolling can roll 0.001mm steel strip; the thinnest hot rolling can reach 0.78mm now.
3. The surface quality is better, cold-rolled steel sheet can even produce a mirror surface; while the surface of hot-rolled sheet has defects such as iron oxide scale and pitting.
4. The mechanical properties of cold-rolled plates can be adjusted according to user requirements, such as tensile strength and process properties such as stamping performance.
