What are the advantages and applications of wear-resistant steel NM450

NM450 plate is a high-grade quenched and tempered wear-resistant steel plate; NM450 grade is higher than NM360 and NM400. NM450 steel plate adopts straight edge rolling, cutting the head and tail without cutting the two longitudinal sides, and the trimming margin is controlled according to the normal trimming plates. Delivery status: the wear-resistant steel NM450 shall be delivered in quenched and tempered state.

The wear-resistant layer of NM450 steel is mainly made of chromium alloy, and other alloy components such as manganese, molybdenum, niobium and nickel are also added. The carbides in the metallographic structure are distributed in fibrous form, and the fiber direction is perpendicular to the surface. The microhardness of carbide can reach above HV1700-2000, and the surface hardness can reach HRc58-62. Alloy carbide has strong stability at high temperature, maintains high hardness, and also has good oxidation resistance. The wear-resistant steel NM450 can be used normally within 500℃.

NM450 wear-resistant plate has high wear resistance and good impact performance. It can be cut, bent, welded, etc., and can be connected with other structures by welding, plug welding, bolting, etc..
