1. Welding: Welding of weathering steel plate and welding hot-melt butt joint is mainly caused by insufficient stroke of the butt welding machine fixture during the butt joint process and excessively fast fixture speed.
The clamp speed is too fast when the weathering steel plate is docked. The two connectors are heated by the heating plate and then butted. If the clamp speed is too fast during butting, most of the melted parts of the two joints will be squeezed to both sides of the inner and outer walls at the moment of butting, resulting in insufficient fusion and false welding.
The solution is for the operator to control the speed and uniformity of the machine so that the welded parts are completely fused.
2. Incomplete welding: The main reason is insufficient heating time. In general, the welding heating time of thin-walled weathering steel plate panels of different pipe materials, models and specifications is set by the factory, but the given heating time is set when the ambient temperature is 50 and there is breeze.
When the ambient temperature is lower than 30 and the wind is strong, if the welding is heated according to the set heating time, the weathering steel plate will be similar to the welding and subsequent normal welding on the surface, but it is actually not penetrated.
The solution is to appropriately adjust the heating time according to the different models and specifications of weathering steel plate when the construction environment is lower than 30 and the wind is strong.
3. Weld penetration: The reason for this quality problem is that the weathering steel plate is heated for too long, which is the opposite of the airtight welding.
For hot melt butt welding, some construction workers believe that the longer the heating time during the welding process, the better the welding effect. On the contrary, when the weathering steel plate is heated for too long, carbonization will occur, which will seriously affect the quality of welding.
