Weathering steel means that a layer of high chromium wear resistant alloy with a thickness of 4 ~ 20mm is prepared by surfacing on the surface of normal carbon steel.
The method of surfacing is subduction arc automatic surfacing technology. High hardness and wear-resisting layer are obtained by adding alloy powder into molten pool by high temperature melting of arc produced by welding wire and steel plate.
